An exploration of nature, objects and everything in between.

I love finding inspiration all around me…

Trees, Flowers, Water and Nature have so much of their own pronounced beauty. It is said that Landscape was perfected by French artist who spent years painting the countryside. This is one reason I've always shied away because I never thought my patience would allow me to draw them. I have so much respect for nature and I commend all the landscape artist out there. Several years ago I decided to start learning to paint landscapes. My first landscape was a drawing of a little building that sits on the campus of Texas Women University, known as "the little Chapel in the woods." A little snow remained on the ground and it was chilly outside, yet the building made me feel warm. I was trying to depict that feeling in my drawing, and was very happy the way it turned out. Since then I've started to draw more landscapes. I feel so much in sync with mother nature and a calming emotion takes part of me that I try to share that in my drawings. I usually paint with acrylics and a mixture of other dry medias.

A landscape painting is essentially emotional in origin. It exists as a record of an effect in nature whose splendor has moved a human heart, and according as it is well or ill done it moves the hearts of others.
